How do I play?

I'm stuck — all the cups are full

That means every holding cup is taken and no screw you can reach matches an open slot. Tap Undo (the arrow at the top; it is free and unlimited) and try a different order. Every contraption in the game is proven solvable by a solver with one cup fewer than you get, so there is always a way. The 💡 bulb highlights a safe screw if you want a nudge — using it costs a star for that level.

How do I get 3 stars?

Clear the contraption without using a hint and without ever filling the last holding cup. Two stars: no hints. One star: cleared with a hint.

What are the shapes on the screws?

Every colour has its own symbol (teal circle, copper square, sunny triangle, coral diamond, plum star, sky cross, lime heart, pink hexagon) so the game works without relying on colour alone. Turn them off in ⚙️ Settings → Colour symbols if you prefer plain screws.

How does the Daily contraption work?

What is the Zen workshop?

Contraption after contraption with unlimited holding cups, so you can never get stuck. There are no stars in Zen — it is for unwinding. Your best run is saved on your device.

What is Rivet's dam?

Every screw you free and every plank you drop goes into Rivet's river. Tap the 🪵 counter on the home screen to see the dam grow through ten stages — first logs, a low wall, mud, a flag, a beaver pond, Rivet's lodge, a lantern, a water wheel, the friends' bridge and fairy lights. Pieces are earned only by playing; nothing is for sale.

How do I get new wood sets?

Collect stars. Honey oak, cherry, candy stripe, frosted and galaxy planks unlock at 12, 30, 60, 100 and 160 stars. Pick one from the Woods button on the home screen.

The music or sound is off

Open ⚙️ Settings on the home screen and switch Sound effects and Music on. On iPhone, sound plays even with the silent switch on.

Does the game collect anything?

No. There are no accounts, no ads and no personal data. Progress, streaks and settings are saved on your device only. See our privacy policy.
